"I'd Like A Cat Like That!" is whimsical rhyme about the wonder of cats. From a cat that likes to read to a cat that walks you home from school, you will meet a variety of fluffy felines and cool cats in the pages of this book.
Examples

This is one of the early versions of one of the pages. Below is the updated version that is in the finished product. In the beginning, I was just trying to work out what the composition would be.

As you can see, this page underwent several changes from start to finish. This is the completed page as it appears in the book. The fork and spoon were inspired by my mother's kitchen.
Here is another example of how the images evolved. Above, was the beginning illustration. I knew I needed to add more detail, so I started with wallpaper. However I decided against using it in the final image. Once all the other elements were in place, I thought it was too busy. But I did insert the sail boat on another page -- you'll have to look for it in the book. I kept the basic layout and it was fun to think of elements to add to the background. I decided to expand the sink to include a couple of toys that the cat and boy might share as well as other elements that might be found around the sink.
